Something wrong with my hayward aquabug?

i own a pool company and that has a finger screen in it.disconnect it from the wall and take the finger screen out of that end in your hand and hose out screen.then put it back in and hook it up as far as the leaves are concerned yes to many leaves need to be scooped out
