Why didn't Jesus resurrect John the Baptist?

Jesus stated many times that all his power came from his Father. So it would to have been God that resurrected him, not Jesus. But, to give you a biblical reason why he wasn't resurrected, it is because that would have caused some to worship him. That would have been contradictory to God's plan. God Bless! +?+
