Would this be considered manipulating someone?

I got asked to go out to eat a meal, and I said I was not willing to go unless I was to be driven there due to my car not being convenient for me (parking issue) and then my friend claims I am trying to manipulate him and that it is unfair and etc. and in the end we didn't go because he wasn't willing to drive. In the end he is calling me a manipulator and I don't find it to be the case since I very plainly and obviously pointed out what I was and was not willing to do... there was no deception or anything tricky on my part.
