Is this something to worry about?

Today in P.E. I got hit in the eye with the badminton birdie.At that time I was wearing my contact lenses and my eye was hurting.Is this alright or should I tell my mom to have this checked out?My eye didn't hurt from continuing in using my contacts.It hurts sometimes when I move it only.I'm now wearing my gles.
